Company is among a range of industry sponsors for this year’s ceremony
Panasonic will be serving as a sponsor for the RAC Cooling Awards for a second consecutive year as the company looks to celebrate several key milestones during 2018.
This year’s awards ceremony is set to take place at the London Hilton Park Lane on September 26 and will see winners unveiled across 15 categories that are focused on innovative cooling technologies, applications and training. A panel of independent expert judges from across the industry conducted face to face meetings with entrants earlier this year to determine the winners and other special commendations.
Panasonic marketing manager Tony Nielsen said the company’s ongoing support for the awards were part of wider effort to commemorate the centenary of when the group began trading. 2018 also marks 60 years since the company’s entry to the heating and cooling sector.
Mr Nielsen said the company has unveiled several new HVAC products and initiatives this year, including a full switch to the lower flammability refrigerant R32, the launching of hybrid VRF and an updated datanavi app.
He added, “We are delighted to also announce that Panasonic are finalists in three categories for both the innovative nanoeTMX and the launch of the new CO2 condensing units where we are expanding into the refrigeration market.”
Mr Nielsen added that other product launches were also planned for 2018.
Panasonic is among a range of sponsors that includes Wolseley and Honeywell to have signed up to back the biggest celebration of achievement in the business.
Contractor Carter Synergy has meanwhile joined the roster of Supporters for National Student of the Year.
Chemours, CBES and JD Cooling join Star Refrigeration and Epta among the backers of the competition, which is in its 24th year.
