Tianjin, China – The new production line for Danfoss's BOCK brand compressors, located in the Wuqing District, has been officially commissioned, with an annual production capacity of 45,000 units.

It is understood that Danfoss BOCK compressors use natural carbon dioxide as a refrigerant, offering significant advantages in both environmental protection and economy. They are now widely used in multiple key sectors such as cold chain logistics, industrial heat pumps, and mobile transport. The official commissioning of this production line is a key initiative by Danfoss to further strengthen its footprint in China. It will enhance Danfoss's responsiveness and service capabilities for the local Chinese market, while leveraging its advantages in low GWP (Global Warming Potential) technology to drive the global refrigeration industry's green transition towards natural low-GWP refrigerants. Furthermore, introducing this forward-looking technology to Tianjin will significantly bolster the leading position and industry influence of Danfoss's Wuqing campus in the refrigeration sector.

"Leveraging our National-Level Green Factory in Wuqing as a base, this new production line integrates the cutting-edge technology of BOCK compressors into Danfoss's extensive product portfolio and multi-industry solutions. This makes them more tailored to local needs and enables precise, rapid support for our Chinese partners, helping them capture opportunities in fast-growing sectors like cold chain and industrial heat pumps," said Shi Jun, Vice President, Danfoss Climate Solutions China & Country Manager, District Energy China.
Since establishing its presence in Tianjin in 1996, Danfoss has been operating in China for nearly 30 years. Currently, its Wuqing campus primarily manufactures commercial compressors, valves, and sensors, among other products. It also hosts a Global Refrigeration R&D Test Center, the company's largest scroll compressor R&D and test center worldwide, providing strong support for product innovation and iteration.

"The commissioning of this new production line marks a significant milestone in implementing Danfoss's 'In China, For China' localization strategy. It demonstrates our steadfast commitment to local development, technological innovation, and green development. We will take this opportunity to continuously improve the local value chain and work with our partners to jointly drive sustainable innovation and the green transition of the industry," said Xu Yang, President of Danfoss China.
