SPAIN: The organiser of this month’s Climatizacion y Refrigeracion 2017 exhibition has reported an attendance increase of nearly 12% compared to the 2015 event.
The total attendance of 49,935 visitors from 82 countries to Spain’s major air conditioning and refrigeration show marked a significant increase in interest in this biennial event.
The show, held in Madrid from 28 February to 3 March, featured around 700 companies from 24 countries.

The continued growth of domestic demand in Spain in recent years has ensured a strong growth in GDP. BBVA Bank's report pointed out that even in the form of Brexit, Spain's exports and imports have maintained steady growth; Spain's central and western regions have reached temperatures of around 40 degrees for several consecutive days and since 2022, EU F-gas Regulations prohibit HFCs refrigerants with GWP values above 150 for use in new centralized and plug-in commercial refrigeration equipment, which presents significant opportunities for natural refrigerants that replace HFCs and air conditioning companies.
Chinese Enterprises Attracted Great Attention in Climatizacion 2019
Climatizacion is one of the largest international professional exhibitions in HVACR industry. It is as famous as the MCE Italy and has a strong radiation throughout Europe. Especially the rapid development of Spain has attracted the attention of more and more Chinese companies. A total of 377 companies participated in the HVACR exhibition, with 295 local companies, 82 companies from 19 countries, and 16 Chinese companies, accounting for one-fifth.
