Milan – It is estimated that over 50% of the world's population now lives in cities and urban areas. The ever growing cities play a crucial role in fulfilling the targets of the COP21 climate deal. And there is no reason to wait to take action. Technologies are already widely available to deliver more than one third of the required energy savings through energy efficient solutions.

Danfoss experience shows that energy savings by up to 50% can be obtained with smart store solutions and up to 40% applying energy saving solutions in residential and commercial buildings. In residential and commercial buildings, Danfoss Link™ electronic radiator thermostat solution allows homeowners to save on the energy bill and optimize the indoor climate of the home. At the same time, the NovoCon® 4in1 actuator offers solutions for perfect hydronic balancing of high-rise buildings.
Tailored to HVAC, refrigeration and water and waste water treatment systems, Danfoss presents leading-edge AC Drives solutions with potential to cut energy costs up to 30%. In January 2015, Danfoss and Vacon Drives joined forces to create one of the leading player’s worldwide in frequency converters for low and medium voltage AC motors, pushing the boundaries of innovative AC Drives technology that tackles climate change, helps cope with rapid urbanization and provides successful and sustained water and waste water management.

Ecodesign, F-gas regulation, other EU Directives and local regulation all impact public and private sector parties. At MCE 2016, visitors can meet Danfoss Heating, Cooling and Drives experts from Italy and abroad and get on top of recent trends and technologies attending short conferences.
In the afternoons, famous climatologist, meteorologist and Professor at Bicocca University in Milan Andrea Giulliaci will introduce climate change and the subsequent need to enhance energy efficiency in the Danfoss Heating booth, Hall 7 - Stand G41 K42.
