Daikin’s new VRV air conditioner using lower GWP, mildly flammable refrigerant R32 will be available in 4, 5 and 6hp sizes, it has been revealed.
Full details of the the Japanese air conditioning manufacturer’s VRV 5 S-series were presented to guests at its European VRV Summit in Copenhagen today. This latest addition to Daikin’s Bluevolution range has been developed and specifically designed for R32 refrigerant.
A new three-row heat exchanger contributes to SEERs of up to 8.2 and SCOPs of 5.1. Sound pressures are down to 39dB(A).
Available in single- and three-phase versions, the new outdoor units can handle total pipe runs of up to 300m and a 50m lift.
Crucially, the new low height, single-fan VRV 5 S-Series measures only 870mm high x 460mm deep x 1,100mm long.
The compact size and the inclusion of four handles in the casing design allow for easy carrying.
New indoor units are available in five types: round flow cassette, fully flat cassette, slim concealed ceiling unit, concealed ceiling unit with medium ESP, and wall mounted unit.
