Continuing a proud tradition of giving back to the communities where it operates, Bryant Heating & Cooling provided an ultra-efficient heating and cooling system to a home being refurbished by Home Depot Renovation services in collaboration with the Detroit Land Bank Authority. Flame Furnace, a Bryant Factory Authorized Dealer, provided the installation. The project was featured as a segment on the home improvement show “This Old House,” the second time this year that Bryant was featured on the long-running program. Bryant is a part of UTC Climate, Controls & Security, a unit of United Technologies (NYSE: UTX).

This latest venture in Detroit is part of a larger campaign for Bryant in which the 112-year-old heating and cooling brand provided home comfort systems to families and organizations in need across North America.

“For more than a century, Bryant has been synonymous with keeping families comfortable in their homes and part of this proud tradition has been working with dealers like Flame Furnace to support their local communities,” says Matthew Pine, vice president, marketing, Bryant. “It’s exciting for us to work with Home Depot and the Detroit Land Bank to help breathe fresh life into struggling neighborhoods.”

Flame Furnace is proud to have been involved in the project.

“This was a tremendous opportunity for Bryant and Flame Furnace to make an impact in our city and to create excitement for the Bryant brand and for Flame Furnace in our community,” says Gary Marowske, owner of Flame Furnace. “The city of Detroit and the people of this city are working hard to turn the city around and remind the country what a tremendous place this is to live and work. We hope playing our small part in this project aids that important movement.”

Earlier this year, a Bryant dealer outside of Boston participated in a “This Old House” episode featuring the rehabilitation of a New England farmhouse. As part of the project, the new owners installed a Bryant geothermal system that is among the most sustainable and reliable heating and cooling systems.
