Sunswap Endurance has been awarded with the Technology Breakthrough – Innovation of the Year award at the Cold Chain Federation’s second ever Climate Summit. This recognition is a testament to our battery and solar-powered transport refrigeration technology, and its potential to revolutionise the cold chain industry.

The summit and award ceremony took place at Warwick University, where industry leaders gathered to as well as discuss targets, projections and future plans, before celebrating the most impressive and ground-breaking achievements in driving sustainability across temperature-controlled logistics,

Cold Chain Federation Chief Executive Phil Pluck commented that the awards “embody the industry’s innovation, collaboration and investment in driving forward ambitious and exciting change for the future of temperature-controlled logistics.”

In particular, he noted Sunswap’s technology’s ability to drive meaningful sustainability within the industry. He highlighted our successful completion of over 20 real-world trials with leading operators, manufacturers, logistics providers and retailers, as well as our growing customer order book, as key factors in the judges’ decision. This award reflects the skill and dedication found across all areas of Sunswap.

Sunswap Endurance represents a viable alternative to diesel-powered transport refrigeration units, offering a cost-competitive and environmentally friendly solution capable of seamlessly integrating into operators’ existing fleets. By eliminating direct CO2 emissions alongside harmful pollutants like NOx and particulate matter, while significantly lowering operating costs, Endurance is poised to lead the industry towards a brighter future.
