GCCA Announces its 2023 South African Committee Members

Members of the Global Cold Chain Alliance (GCCA) in South Africa have pledged their time and commitment to serve on the GCCA Risk Management Committee and the GCCA Food Safety & Compliance Committee.

 

This Risk Management Committee was established to study and review items related to risk management in cold storage facilities at all levels of operations, with a goal of improving performance and minimizing the risk of members and the industry at large.

 

The eight members serving on the committee in 2023 are:

  • Gerhard Coetzee, Financial Director, Sequence Logistics (Chair)

  • Carlos De Mendonca, General Manager, Crossberth Cold Stores (Vice-Chair)

  • Alasdair Martin, Risk & Compliance Executive, Vector Logistics

  • Glen Vincent, Business Development Africa Executive, Digistics
  •  
  • Greg Stephenson, Operations Manager, Reefer Cold Storage
  •  
  • Ivan Sutic, Financial Director, Chilleweni Cold Storage Solutions
  •  
  • Mesuli Mdluli, Maintenance Manager, CCS Logistics
  •  
  • Ronald Williams, Operations Manager, CCS Logistics

 

 

This Food Safety & Compliance Committee was created so that members could discuss the regulations and standards impacting the cold chain logistics and cold storage industry in South Africa and collectively build stronger relationships between industry and related government agencies.

 

The nine committee members serving on the committee in 2023 are:

Committee service offers members the opportunity to engage in focused, high-level strategic discussions about the industry and/or association programs. This is a unique chance for members to learn from their peers while giving back to the association by sharing their time and experience.
