Panasonic Heating & Cooling Solutions has introduced its new VRF Mini Cassette MY3 with nanoe X Mark 3 Generator as standard. The slim cassette is available in 6 capacities ranging from 1.5 – 5.6kW and with the more powerful nanoe X Mark 3 integrated within, is ideal for improving environments such as offices, veterinary clinics, restaurants, supermarkets, and more.
The new VRF Mini Cassette is Panasonic’s first indoor unit to integrate its upgraded nanoe X Mark 3 Generator, which is a maintenance-free addition to the unit. The nanoe X Generator Mark 3 produces 48 trillion hydroxyl radicals per second, 100x more than original nanoe. Abundant in nature, hydroxyl radicals have the capacity to inhibit five types of pollutants, including certain viruses and bacteria, to clean and deodorise – studies have shown the nanoe X Generator can inhibit viruses by up to 98.81% in a large space of 139 m³. nanoe X technology can bring these incredible benefits indoors so that hard surfaces, soft furnishings, and the indoor environment can be a cleaner and pleasant place to be, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. When the cassette’s cooling or drying operation stops, internal drying and cleaning using nanoe X is activated to suppress mould growth inside the unit, which can be paused and resumed at any time.
With a compact and stylish flat panel design, the VRF Mini Cassette blends well into any environment. It requires a ceiling depth of only 250mm, and the exposed panel height is just 30mm. For the ultimate comfort, the VRF Mini Cassette has individual, customisable flap control with 4 motors, one for each flap. It ensures the perfect air distribution without direct airflow to reduce the feeling of cold draft. Additionally, the DC drain pump and float switch has been improved to reduce noise and increase efficiency.
Furthermore, the units have a variety of connectivity options to make user experience simple, straightforward, and intuitive. This includes a centralised intelligent controller, Panasonic’s CONEX, Panasonic’s AC Smart Cloud and AC Service Cloud, and VRF Smart Connectivity+.

Forum|Breaking the Deadlock in the Refrigerant Industry: Second-Generation Phased Out, Third-Generation Restricted, Fourth-Generation in R&D…
Amid the global phase-down of HFCs, the refrigerant industry is undergoing an unprecedented green revolution and transformation.
From the deepening implementation of the Kigali Amendment to the Montreal Protocol to policy support worldwide for low-GWP (Global Warming Potential) refrigerants; from iterative breakthroughs in alternative technologies to traditional refrigerants to the urgent demand for efficient refrigerants in sectors like new energy, cold chain logistics, and data centers—the industry is at a critical juncture. Currently, second-generation refrigerants are being rapidly phased out, third-generation refrigerants face quota restrictions, and fourth-generation solutions are still under development… At the same time, quota constraints have led to challenges such as counterfeit products flooding some regional markets and difficulties in overcoming international patent barriers, severely hindering the industry’s healthy development.
