Carrier embarks on 4-year deal at HK International

Carrier Hong Kong has been awarded a four-year chiller service agreement covering all 52 chillers in 17 buildings of Hong Kong International Airport. 

The service agreement covers both Carrier and non-Carrier-brand chillers and includes responsibility for all of the maintenance, staffing, repairs, improvements and refurbishment required to keep all 52 chillers in the facility operational. This includes remote monitoring and diagnostics.

Hong Kong International Airport, on the reclaimed island of Chek Lap Kok, has been in commercial operation since 1998. It is one of the world’s busiest cargo gateway and one of the world’s busiest passenger airports It is also home to one of the world’s largest passenger terminal buildings.

Carrier Hong Kong was involved with the airport since its inception, when chillers and air handling units were installed in Terminal 1. In 2016, Carrier Hong Kong was awarded a service agreement for that the same terminal.

“We have an excellent understanding of the client and the airport’s requirements,” claimed Carrier Hong Kong’s service & aftermarket director Antony Wu. “We’re leveraging this knowledge to offer a specialised operations and maintenance solution that will be digitally enabled to optimise uptime and efficiency,” he said.
