GERMANY: Daikin air conditioning, heat pump and control products have scooped five awards at this year’s IF Design Awards.
Products recognised at the iF Design Award show in BMW Welt, Munich on March 9 included both the new floor-standing and wall-mounted Altherma 3 heat pump, Stylish air conditioner, commercial wired remote controller, as we’ll as its gas condensing boiler.
The iF Design Award is among the largest and most prestigious design competitions in the world. Organised by the world’s oldest independent design organisation, Hannover-based iF International Forum Design GmbH, the annual award scheme is now in its 65th year. Over 6,400 entries were submitted from 54 countries this year. The awards were judged by a 63-strong panel made up from independent experts from all over the world.
Daikin’s recently announced third generation low temperature heat pump Daikin Altherma 3 is the first air-to-water heat pump to use R32.
The compact wall-mounted Stylish air conditioner is another new introduction, again using R32, and boasting efficiencies up to A+++ for both heating and cooling.
Daikin’s latest wired remote control has been designed to provide an enhanced user experience with an elegant and contemporary appearance. Its compact dimensions, plus a choice of three colours, is designed to offer a discreet solution to blend in with any interior design.
