ST. LOUIS — Emerson announced that company veteran Craig Rossman has been named president of its White-Rodgers business. Rossman succeeds Jack Huether, who has been leading White-Rodgers while also serving as group president of Emerson’s sensors and controls businesses. In this leadership role Rossman will report to Huether. These changes were effective July 1.

Rossman’s career at Emerson started more than 20 years ago, and he has worked in positions of increasing responsibility at several Emerson companies, including Fisher-Rosemount, Emerson Process Management’s Remote Automation Solutions business, and Therm-O-Disc. Most recently, Rossman was director of investor relations and assistant treasurer for Emerson corporate.

“We are very fortunate to have Craig Rossman leading the White-Rodgers business. As change in the HVACR industry continues to accelerate from further development of critical enabling technologies, I am confident that we have the team in place to continue to drive value for our customers and the industry,” said Huether.

Huether had been president of White-Rodgers since 2015, where he was instrumental in merging Emerson’s heating and cooling controls organization into a single business while continuing the White-Rodgers tradition of bringing industry leading products to market. Prior to that, he was president of other Emerson businesses, most recently the Hermetic Motor business. As group president, Huether’s organization includes White-Rodgers, Thermo-O-Disc, Hermetic Motor ,and U.K.-based Pactrol.

“Jack’s leadership of our sensors and controls businesses and White-Rodgers has been central to our continued innovation in this space, with such examples as the highly rated Sensi Wi-Fi Thermostat and a new electronic gas valve for water heaters. Both Jack and Craig will be working to ensure Emerson’s continued leadership in the heating and cooling industry,” said Robert T. Sharp, executive president of Emerson’s Commercial and Residential Solutions platform.
