BSRIA is pleased to announce that it has been awarded the Cyber Essentials Certificate of Compliance, which certifies that the BIS/14/696 required standards are met.
Malc Leary, BSRIA’s Head of IT and Telecoms, said:
“We are delighted to be awarded the Cyber Essentials Badge which is an endorsement of the ongoing efforts put in by my team in the continuing fight against cyber-attack. The scheme helps verify our long-term approach to IT security issues.
Of course, any certificate or accreditation is only a snapshot taken at the time it was issued. All organisations need to be continually robust in cyber defence. Cyber Essentials is an important component of a wider ranging cyber security policy which I would urge any organisation to undertake.”
Cyber Essentials is a government-backed cyber security certification scheme that sets out a good baseline of cyber security suitable for all organisations in all sectors. The scheme addresses five key controls that, when implemented correctly, can prevent around 80 per cent of cyber attacks.
