Rheem is unveiling new mobile apps designed to help distributors and contractors better service and sell the entire suite of Rheem and Ruud products.

Developed for cross platform use on Android and iOS tablets and mobile phones (iPhone 5s and up), the new apps are full of mobile-friendly, dynamic content that will assist Rheem partners whether they are in their office or on a jobsite. The apps include product information and videos, the DesignStar™ load calculation tool, warranty and financing information, order forms, installation and troubleshooting checklists, company news, and marketing materials. The content – which can be customized to contractors, distributors, and sales support reps upon log-in - was developed after hours of interviews and ride-alongs with contractors across the United States.

“Our goal was to build the most useful resource for our partners who are on the frontline of sales and service every day—and we did just that,” said Bill Alderson, director, marketing and digital services, Rheem. “We’ve built a tool that will work just as well on the road as it does from an office computer.”

The Rheem App and The Ruud App will be available for download in the Apple Store and on GooglePlay for free, beginning January 25, 2016.

These apps replace the company’s existing apps which have been available for download through the MyRheem.com portal. The new Rheem App and Ruud App have been optimized for on-the-job use, making them a best-in-class resource for contractors who need information real time at a jobsite. The product browser shuffles easily among all heating, cooling and water heating products, a simplified search function pulls the right information up quickly, product material can be directly shared with customers, and the apps update automatically and in real time over WiFi.

There is also a compatible public, consumer-appropriate view of the app (The Rheem App), giving homeowners a mobile-friendly tool for learning about home comfort systems in general, and Rheem products specifically. Each of the apps will also include information about Rheem’s EcoNet system, a smart technology that gives homeowners the ability to control their air and water systems remotely through a free mobile app, saving energy and money on monthly utility bills.
